10月15・16日に青森市と弘前市の会場で「全国産業教育フェア青森大会」が開かれた。全国から集まった専門高校等で学ぶ生徒と一般の来場者で賑わった。
この大会は、生徒たちが日頃の学習で培った知識や技術・技能の成果を披露し、広く社会に知ってもらうことと、学生の交流を目的としている。

The event was crowded with students from vocational high schools and general visitors from all over Japan.
The purpose of this competition is for the students to showcase the knowledge, techniques and skills that they have cultivated in their daily studies, to make them widely known to society, and to encourage interaction among students.
学生たちは、それぞれのブースでの接客だけでなく、駐車場の運営も担っていた。
会場内では、全国の学校のパネル展示やいろいろな体験会、ステージイベントが開かれていた。

Inside the venue, panel exhibitions of schools from all over the country, various hands-on sessions, and stage events were held.
各学校のブースでは、地域の企業とのコラボレーションした製品が販売されていた。弘前実業高校は、地元のローカル線“弘南鉄道”を盛り上げようと、黒石高校と一緒に地元企業と一緒に商品開発した電車の形をした“チャレンジパン”を販売した。激辛と激甘を順次に配したパン。食べ進んでいくうちに味が変わっていくという。

Hirosaki Jitsugyo High School sold train-shaped “Challenge Bread”, which was developed together with Kuroishi High School and a local company, in order to boost the local line “Konan Railway”.

地元の菓子店とコラボしたのは、“どんどんず”という理想のお尻を表した最中。ちなみに、津軽弁でお尻のことを「どんず」というのだそう。
近年のSDGsを意識し、リンゴの皮で作ったストローも販売されていた。

海外の学校と協力して製品化したものもある。
「AOMORIと世界をビジネスで繋ぐ高校生チャレンジ（台湾編）」と題して、青森商業高等学校と台北市松山高級商業家事職業学校がコラボして、地元の企業とホタテを使ったパスタソースを開発した。ホタテは青森の特産品だ。
「美味醬醬」は、とても美味しいの意味の津軽弁「たんげめぇ！」。
台湾の高校生と青森の高校生が、味やレシピ開発、包装デザインなどを研究し完成させた。コロナ禍の中、リモートでのやり取りとなり、もどかしさも感じたという。結局、４年かかった。

Aomori Commercial High School and Taipei Songshan High School of Commerce and Domestic Affairs have collaborated to develop a pasta sauce using scallops with a local company under the title of “High School Student Challenge to Connect AOMORI and the World through Business (Taiwan Edition)”.
Scallops are a specialty of Aomori.
“美味醬醬” means “very delicious” in Tsugaru dialect “Tange mee!”.
A high school student from Taiwan and a high school student from Aomori completed research on flavors, recipe development, and packaging design.
In the midst of the corona wreck, it was a remote exchange, and he felt frustrated. After all, it took four years.
高校生たちの成果は、商品だけでなく、実用的な製品も生み出しつつある。
むつ市のむつ工業高校は、海洋開発機構（JAMSTEC）の依頼で、洋上で風向風速を測るセンサーの開発に取り組んでいる。予言能力を持ち、船乗りたちを守る神の名前を冠した「GLAUKOS(グラウコス)」というチーム名で、電子科の生徒３年生６人が、開発にあたった。このセンサーは、海洋開発機構（JAMSTEC）が津軽海峡に設置した海洋短波レーダーを使って海流を観測しているが、より詳細に海流を把握するために、洋上の風向風速のデーターが必要だということで研究した。

The team name “GLAUKOS”, named after the god who protects sailors and has the ability to predict, was developed by six third-year electronics students.
This sensor uses the ocean shortwave radar installed in the Tsugaru Strait by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) to observe ocean currents, but in order to understand ocean currents in more detail, it is said that wind speed and direction data on the ocean is necessary.
平成２年に始まったこのプロジェクトは、実用化するには強度不足といった課題があるため海洋開発機構（JAMSTEC）のアドバイスを受けながら、さらに２年間の開発延長となった。今は、同校の機械科が引きついだ。

青森県は、少子化の影響で、学校の統廃合が行われている。
地元の高校がなくなることは、地域住民にとっても大きな痛手だ。
学校が果たす役割は、大きいのだ。このようなプロジェクトを通して、地元愛をはぐくみ、開発に携わった高校生が、将来的に夢を大きく広げられるようになれるのではないだろうか。
