9月中旬、日に日に寒さがまし今年も青森に秋が訪れようとしています。
It will be cold day by day in mid September. It indicates that autumn is about to come to Aomori this year too.

一足早く秋が訪れるのは八甲田である。
It is Hakkoda where fall comes early.

八甲田は連峰で南北合わせ15座の山々とその間に多くの湿原が点在している。
Hakkoda is a mountain range where 15 peaks are combined from South to North, and many wetlands are dotted in between.

その中でも多くの登山者を魅了しているのは”毛無岱(けなしたい)”である。
A mountain that attracts for many mountaineers is “Kenashitai (means No-Hair mountain)”.

毛無岱には、”上毛無岱（かみけなしたい）”と”下毛無岱(しもけなしたい)”があり、木々より一足早く紅葉します。
Kenashitai is composed of “Kami-Kenashitai (means Upper Kamikenashitai)” and “Shimo-Kamikenashitai (means Lower-Kamikenashitai)” and leaves on those mountains are turned red earlier than the other mountains.

特に美しく見られるポイントは上毛無岱と下毛無岱を結ぶ階段の途中である。
The spot that a particularly beautiful view can be seen is in the middle of the stairway connecting Upper-Kenashitai and Lower-Kenashitai.

そこから眺める草もみじは、他の紅葉とはまた違う味わいを感じることができるでしょう。
The colored grasses you can see from there will give you a different impression from the other autumn leaves.

紅葉を楽しんだ後お楽しみはなんといっても、温泉でしょう。
After having enjoyed the autumn leaves, it is definitely hot springs.

八甲田から下山すると酸ヶ湯温泉をはじめ、さまざまな温泉があります。
There are various hot springs at the foot of Hakkoda including Sukayu Hot Springs.

10月中旬になれば山頂には雪が降り、また半年間雪に覆われ、白銀の世界に姿を変えます。
In the middle of October, snow falls over the summit and covers the whole mountains for half a year, then changes there into a silver world.

ただ、ほとんどの温泉旅館では夕方前には外来入浴は終了してしまうので、
日帰りの方は各施設の営業時間を確認することは忘れずに。
However, don’t forget to check out the business hours if you are not planning to stay because most of hot-spring inns closes before evening.
